So I've officially been on break for a few days now. I finished my super-secret project that I can't describe on here in case my mom reads it, I got some baking done (though not nearly as much as I'd have liked), I started a new crochet project (again... can't discuss on here :-P), and I've slept about 12 hours the last few nights. I love being here and not having to work! I need to just be a man of leisure when I become independently wealthy.
The only baking I've gotten done is White Chocolate-Cherry Shortbread Cookies, Double Chocolate Cookies, and Peanut Butter Kisses.
I'll bake more when I'm home, and with several parties lined up over break, I'll be able to try lots of new recipes.
As for bettering myself, I have some money set aside to join the campus gym next semester. I've realized that I'll never have the willpower to make myself do home-workouts, so I'm hoping with a gym at my disposal, I'll drop some weight. I've also decided that I need to stay hydrated. Sometimes I get home at the end of the day and realize I've had, like, 3 sips of water all day. I should be drinking something like 4 of my Nalgenes-full every day.
Well, I should stop procrastinating and finish my dishes, laundry, and packing. I'm hoping to leave around 8AM to head to PA tomorrow morning, so I should go to bed before 3AM. :-P

Aaaand, break!
So I realize it's been forever since I've posted, but I haven't had a whole lot to say, and I didn't want to just babble. I still don't have a whole lot to say, but I thought it was time for an update.
Thanksgiving break was awesome. I got to see all of my friends and family in PA, get some baking done, and go Black Friday shopping. Winter break is just around the corner, and I'm so looking forward to it. Just 13 days and 5 shows till I get almost a month off! I'm planning on heading to PA the 20th or 21st, and staying till Jan. 7th or 8th. After winter break is over, I have about 9 weeks till Spring Break, then about 6 weeks till the end of the semester, and then 11ish weeks till the internship is over. The time is flying!
I've been pretty lax at trying to attain the goals I set for myself, I'm sorry to say. I haven't really been exercising, I haven't been watching what I eat at all, and my being good with my finances went out the window with Christmas shopping. I'm trying to get back on track. Christmas shopping is almost done, so I can retire my credit card for awhile again. I actually started yoga today! I forgot how intense the Power Yoga podcast is! I'm so out of shape. I also got an exercise ball while Black Friday shopping, so I'm anxious to see what I can do with that. Next semester, I'm pretty sure I'm going to join the campus gym. I don't really want to walk/jog/run outside, and I miss cardio, so short of trying to fit my treadmill in my car to bring back, I need to just cough up the cash for a membership.
As for bettering myself as a cook/baker, THAT I've been working on. :-P I read an article in Taste of Home (to which my grandmother got me a subscription :-)) about a woman who, to become a better baker, tried at least 2 new recipes every week. I think that's an excellent idea. Over break, I made Pumpkin Bread Pudding, Chocolate-Chocolate Chip-Peanut Butter whoopie pies, and my great grandmother's Pumpkin Pie recipe. All of which were new to me, and turned out amazingly. This past week, I made a Chicken Florentine Artichoke Bake and Sweet Potato Cupcakes:
So all-in-all, life is pretty chill right now. I'm going to get back to working on my goals, and with the holidays coming up, I'll be baking up a storm!
